#pdxcodecamp is tomorrow

The 2011 Portland Code Camp takes place tomorrow at the Eliot center in downtown Portland.  Stuart Celarier reported that 800+ had pre-registered for this event and that is huge.  The schedule features 8-10 different sessions each hour, lunch and refreshments provided and a deep dive session on Windows Phone “Mango” from 7:30 – 10:00.

Beyond the technical topics, Code Camps provide software devs and technology geeks a chance to network with people all around the region.  Learn about other employers, other industries, get information about user groups and other community events.  Every time I go, I end up filled to the top with great technical information, inspiration for the future and a lot more contacts for future job hunting and networking opportunities.

Pre-registration is closed, but you can still show up tomorrow morning and register onsite.

And now back to the excruciating task of choosing which sessions to attend… hope to see you there.

Portland Code Camp, 2011

The page is up, the session list is growing and it’s time to register.

Portland Code Camp, June 4th, 2011 in beautiful downtown Portland.

I don’t know about you all, but I’m really looking forward to this.   Session topics so far:  MVC, Agile, Windows Phone 7, Silverlight, F#, jQuery, WCF, web development, SQL Server topics, Rails,  Amazon Web Services, business intelligence, windows development and more.

Register as soon as you can, it’s free but the seating will be limited and you don’t want to miss your chance.  They’re also accepting sessions, so don’t be shy, register yourself as a presenter and propose your session.

See you there.
